Yesterday, I accompanied the Congressman and Don from our District Office out to Camp Pendleton. I can’t recall ever visiting there before. We were guests at a special ceremony for Marine Units that were changing status. It was a very powerful story. Don mentioned that at a place like Pendleton you never have to look far to find a hero. How true that is. A group of Marines spoke to the Congressman about some of their experiences in the Middle East. After the ceremony there was a reception. They had a display table with a lot of great things to check out. Don took this picture of me and the Machine Gun. I told the people in the office that I will use this picture to keep the interns in line.
