Riding the Whirlwind

I feel like I have barely had time to breathe the last few weeks. Between my birthday, Thanksgiving, my new job, my dog getting lost and finals it has been a pretty eventful time in my life. Dare I say, it's been crazy busy. No, I don't, I hate that phrase. But it has been hectic to say the least.

We were worried when this guy ran off

Shannon was nice enough to spend my birthday and Thanksgiving with me here in California. I got together with a few of my high school friends to play our annual Turkey Bowl. As usual it was a lot of fun. I am pretty sure I threw more TD's than INT's and just had a blast.

We had Thanksgiving at my sister's house. There were something like 40 people there. With the exception of the 49ers losing their game it was a really great day.

Shannon and I  had a nice time eating at all of our favorite restaurants, watching football, and spending time with my family. Jordan was in town for Thanksgiving and I think it was fun for Shannon and Jordan to finally meet.We even met Santa

I am the new Community Relations intern for the Los Angeles Lakers. It is really my dream job, I'll be working at the Lakers offices, and at every home game. I am so pumped about it. On my first day of work, I met Chuck Person and Matt Barnes, held the championship trophies, and went all over the Staples Center. We had an event last weekend where I met Coach Brown, and the Laker girls. It was amazing. It his hard to believe that I am doing exactly what I want to be doing.

I have really enjoyed my first semester of Grad School. Yesterday I did my final presentation and was excited for my Dad to come up and watch. I talked about compensating athletes from revenue generating sports. I had a few funny lines, and was glad that they got the response I hope for. I have one paper left and I am done with my first semester.

So proud of you! You will rock this Pete! And I see that you share office space with MAC cosmetics, which is just doubly awesome and so if you happen to see any makeup samples around . . .
