I thought I might hit this one bullet point style. Here are a few things that I've been thinking about the last few days.
- After 12 years as licensed driver I finally got a speeding ticket. I didn't feel like I was going particularly fast but apparently I was. It was the US Park Police who got me, and I will make the federal government $150 richer. There is your stimulus.
- I joined Twitter. Joe and Dan have been raving about it for a year now. I finally got on board, not because I feel like it is the most profound place to share my thoughts, but it kind of fun to see what others have to say. My initial impression is that there are a lot of self important blowhards on twitter. Maybe I'm wrong. You can follow me at twitter.com/petechat
- The new season of Mad Men started on Sunday. I was pleased to have it back in my life. The roommates and I have been watching some of the episodes from the previous seasons. If you aren't watching it, start. B-Rock major props to you for telling how awesome this show is.
- Six months ago my old roommate Jim Reimann gave a lesson to the EQ instructors about giving more active lessons. I took it to heart. I try to keep the quorum involved, challenged, and filled with the spirit. I try to make my lessons thought provoking, and highly interactive. This week we discussed the talk "You Are My Hands". I brought my footballs (we have EQ in the Cultural Hall) and I passed them around to those who had comments. It was sort of like the conch in Lord of the Flies. It wasn't as crazy as I would have hoped, my vision was that the footballs would be flying across the room, but mostly I distributed them. At the very least it kept people awake so as to avoid getting pegged in the head.
- My sisters were together in CA, last week with all of the kids. Because of very poor planning on my part, I never made it out there.
- I'm reading another Star Wars book, but once I'm finished I don't have anything in the queue. Please give me a suggestion.
- I'm glad that the Angels aren't giving up on their season by acquiring Dan Haren. But then Haren gets hurt in his first Angel start. It's just one of those seasons.
- I need to take more pictures. Otherwise I have to settle on these two meatballs.

Once you catch the essence of twitter you will believe, don't listen to the naysayers.
Item too - good thing I'm not in your EQ I would have picked one of those passes and taken it to the house. You know what I'm talking about.
