| The Millennium Falcon loaded on a Star Cruiser back to California |
I'm not going to miss the bad traffic ( although So Cal probably isn't any better) , the awful humidity, the lack of fast food options, the inability to watch my teams at a reasonable hour, or the long distance to my family. No I won't miss that at all.
But I will absolutely miss my friends. I am going to miss watching Mad Men with my roommates, Flag Football with the guys, passionate renditions of Bon Jovi and other hits at Cafe U & I, ringing the bell at Cici's Pizza Buffett, C1 royalty, and the level of comfort that I had after being in the same place for so long.
I hope that the friendships I made while I lived in Washington will be life long friendships. If you think about it I have spent more time on a day to day basis with my DC friends than I have with my high school friends. I'll miss the inside jokes, and close proximity to so many people that I really really like (yes that is really twice).
Malibu and Pepperdine are seriously breathtaking. When I am driving up to the graduate campus and the amazing view that goes with it, I can hardly believe I go to school there. This is partially to brag but also to know that you are invited to visit. LA is one of those places where you will find yourself from time to time. So call me up, you have a place to stay either here or in Whittier. I look forward to keeping touch via phone, blogs, Facebook, emails, and visits.
Stay Golden, Peter
