Not to Be Neglected

Occasionally I get accused of neglecting things. It is probably true but generally not intentional. Sometimes it just happens. Pete Chat is one of the things that keeps getting neglected. It's not like things aren't going on in my life, they are, now more than ever. I just need to get back into the habit of blogging again. I still love it. Sometimes I have something occur in life and I want to do a really great narrative but wonder if I can do it justice, is it just bragging, and does anybody even read this. All things I have to consider.

Since the big news in my life is that I am getting married to Miss Shannon Jean Crowley on August 18th, some of the other things in my life haven't been mentioned much lately. If you wonder how I spend my time these days it usually boils down to just a few things, school, Lakers, Shannon, and driving. That is pretty much all I have time for. Yes I still watch TV, waste time on the internet, and sleep but that is pretty much it. I spend some time with my family and that really is it. I just don't have time for much else. One thing I may have been neglecting is my friends. I work most every weekend so that limits the amount of hanging out time I have. The most effective part seems to be having my friends come to the Lakers games. I kill two birds with one stone.

In case you were wondering Shannon and I are getting married in Washington DC. We are planning on a reception there, a Honeymoon in Hawaii and an open house in Whittier. Shannon has taken over most of the wedding planning which is fine by me. I am responsible for finding us a place to live for next year.

One thing that you may not know is that this summer I am moving to Israel for about 10 weeks. Yes, I'll be living in Tel Aviv and working for the the Israeli national soccer team. I don't no exactly what I'll be doing for them but I am really excited. I thought this was an amazing opportunity and when I told my family about it they were stoked. Shannon wasn't thrilled but after a certain jewelry acquisition and a certain event to be planned she warmed to the idea. I leave as soon as the Lakers season is over (hopefully with a Championship) and will be back like four days before the wedding. It will be a very bust summer, but I just figured out we can Face Time. I can totally have visitors so if you were ever thinking that you were going to come to the Holy Land, come see me.

My time with the Lakers has been so great. I wish I had written more stuff down. Luckily I have some text messages I can go back and read that will remind me when I do my big narrative about it. It's been crazy and really enjoyable. In many ways it reminds me of my time on Capitol Hill. I love it.

School is going well, and is really hard. It seems like every week I have a paper or a Mid Term. I seem to be hanging in but am pretty sure that I am not meant to be an economist.

I want to thank everyone who called, emailed, texted, or otherwise contacted me to offer their congratulations. It's nice to hear how many people were rooting for us. I am really excited to get married. That's not to say I'm not nervous, but if you were getting ready to marry Shannon you'd be excited too. We are both pretty sick of long distance.

I don't want to jinx anything so I'll just say things are really great right now and I hope they continue that way.
