The Magic Kingdom

While I was home a big part of my family went to Disneyland for the day. I love Disneyland. My sister used to work there, and my cousins from Utah come down all the time to visit the "Happiest Place on Earth". Here are some of my thoughts on this trip.
  • I took a lot of pictures while I was home, a few at Disneyland. This is the only one I liked. It's a mixture of sister, nieces, and cousins.
  • I have extremely keen "Mormon Radar" I was standing in line next to a big group of people and I turn to them and say, you guys are from Utah aren't you. They looked at me quizzically. "Yes" one replied "How did you know?". My reply... "We Mormons stick out like a sore thumb." Throughout the day I saw young couples with kids, dads with the returned missionary hairline, Doc Marten sandals, capri pants, capped sleeves, one set of earrings, striped polo shirts. I found out later that it was Fall Break in Utah.
  • Disneyland has a new policy for Single Riders. On some of the really busy rides, you can go through the exit tell them you are a single rider and they put you on no problem. I stood in line for Splash Mountain for three minutes.
  • I think the "B-Team" was there as far as the Disney Princesses go. Some of you may remember how impressed I was by Ariel at Christmas time. Not so much this time. Jasmine usually known for her "eight minute abs" had weird moles on her face. Disappointing.
  • I love the Honeycomb covered in Chocolate.
  • My niece Haydan does NOT like the Snow White Ride. She made that perfectly clear to us and the entire Disneyland Park. Savannah on the other hand was no fan of Peter Pan.
  • My cousins Danielle, Jacqueline, Camille, and Gabrielle are the most fun people to go to Disneyland with. I think we've been going for at least fifteen years. Maybe longer.
  • I am 100 percent certain that I would have been an awesome Jungle Cruise captain.
  • Star Tours what are you doing here? This is a combat zone it is restricted.
  • The new Finding Nemo ride is worth a 15 minute wait not 2hrs.
  • When I am on Space Mountain I enjoy screaming random things. This time when we did the first drop I screamed "Pork Chop Sandwiches"
  • My Nieces and nephew throughout the day were, mean, cantankerous, bossy, lazy, and demanding. Despite that I still love them. My sisters assure me that they don't start that way and your tolerance builds.
  • We shut the park down and stayed till closing.

So I am very pleased that I bought my annual pass and will consider it again next year.

Peter Brent Dorsch: Jungle Cruise captain. I would hire you, but only if you make up facts about the animals.

Peter: you and Trent Bowen maybe the only two people on earth who love Disneyland as much as I do.

Peter,

You amaze me. Going to Disneyland with that many children = a saint.

Earlier this summer I made my triumphant return to Disneyland after 15 years.

I dominated with my nephews.

Sadly, one of the three little pigs was not kicked in the shins.
