Ever since it was announced just a few months ago, I have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of UFC 91. Lesnar vs. Couture. Basically this is a dream match for me. On one side you have Randy Couture, 45 years old ,out of the Octagon for more than a year, the guy who gets counted out and then suprises you. On the other side you have Brock Lesnar. How do you best describe Brock? Shorn gorilla. Everything is huge about this guy. He has all of the skills, power, speed, technique but only three professional fights going in. And he was of course WWE champion. As I sat the last few days I didn’t know who would win. I did however know that I must watch this fight.
I have mentioned many times how much I like UFC. Many people don’t get it, but I think it is great. I put a message out on the List Serve and got a few responses. I told the peeps, if you want to come over and watch it, by all means come on over. I have to give a special shout out to Holly for watching the main event, (Her take: It was short and not too bloody).
The under card was good but the fights were short. None of them went the distance, I don’t think any of them even went to the third round. Florian and Gonzaga both dominated their fights.
Brock and I back in the WWE days. Do you have a picture with the Heavyweight Champ? I do.
We had a good group over at the house, with varying levels of interest and knowledge of UFC. I was hoping for a great fight. Randy is a big guy, around 220 lbs but Brock is a legit 280. He made Randy look small. It looked like Randy had a good game plan, try to wear Brock out and make it go the distance. By the end of the first round it looked like it was working. Brock was breathing deep. I thought it was cool that everyone at my place applauded after the first round. We all recognized that this was something huge.
During the second round, Brock nailed Randy in the side of the head, knocked him down and finished him off. We were all a bit stunned. Randy just seems like such a good guy and Brock is such a jerk, but sometimes the bad guy wins. Both were very gracious after the fight. We all laughed when Brock gave gratitude to God and then said “God Bless You” huh? Did he just ask blessings on God from God?
Other highlights included an Brazilian fighter accidentally (we hope)kissing an American fighter, a different Brazilian fighter get his head knocked off (figuratively) McMary dropping off some M&M’s but not staying to watch the fight.
I wish Josh would have been there, it would have been cool. I’ll be away for the next fight (probably watch it in CA because it’s got Rampage) but I want to make this a recurring thing.
Great Sports weekend. Niners win. Cougars win. I won in flag football. Love it!

That was a good fight. Unfortunately, I had to watch some bootlegged version on Youtube. I've been impressed with Brock so far.
The ONLY reason you called today was so I remember to send you a birthday present.

I watched it at Barbers. God bless God, I loved it. I am excited to see a heel champ in the UFC. There hasn't been one since Tito (and I liked him).
OK, I am sorry but I don't care about his at all. I need updates on other aspects of life, like dating. And Jazz games.

So a couple of my friends thought that I was pretty much the coolest girl in the world because I knew about this fight...just don't tell them the only reason I knew about it was because of you post to the list serve and your blog...
Umm, that whole post made no sense to me, was it English you were writing?
Basically I read, "blah, blah, blah, UFC, blah blah" and tuned out the rest.
