Now That's How You Celebrate a Birthday

Today is a great day, because today is your day. Hap Hap such a happy
birthday, hap hap such a happy day. Hap Hap such happy birthday, let's celebrate
this happy day. It's your biiiiiiiiiiiiiiirthday!

Yes I celebrated my 28th birthday last week, and naturally I did it in style. The first thing I want to say is thanks to all my family and friends near and far who wished me a happy birthday. It is always nice to be remembered. I was favored with many phone calls and messages through out the day. I even had a few parties.

Work Cake
We had a birthday lunch of my choice at work. I chose Good Stuff Eatery. It's kind of an gourmet hamburger place. I got a Chili Burger and it tasted delicious. My friends at work also got me a cake and sang a very short birthday song.

My Peeps at Cici's. The bell was rung.

For my birthday dinner I chose Cici's Pizza Buffet. It was terrific, well the company was, the food was so so but almost all of my friends came and enjoyed the bounty of Macaroni Pizza. I love Cici's because they never mind if you move the tables. I had two long tables worth of friends and I'm pretty sure everyone had a good time.

Cougar Cake
McMary came strong and made a Cougar birthday cake for me. I loved it, I only wish that it would have inspired Max Hall the way it inspired me. We went back to Mary's and had cake a chatted a bit longer. It was lovely.
Arlington's Answer to the Backstreet Boys
On Friday night went and say Karaoke. I love Korean Karaoke because you get your own room and just sing your hearts out with your friends. There were seven of us and we busted out the hits. Joe and I did a particularly awesome version of "I Want It That Way", we were all living on a prayer, and ended with a rousing version of Bohemian Rhapsody. We laughed, danced and sang. The lesson learned was this, lyrics are more complicated than you think, and the chorus doesn't come as often as you'd like.
Some more talented (Amber) some less talented (Me). Good times though.

It seemed though that the Universe would not allow an evening of pure fun and happiness. When we went out to the car, it was gone. It had been towed. Apparently there was a sign, I didn't see it. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO for that. Andrea had a positive attitude about it, she was a lot more patient than I would have been. Good job by you.

They know me, even if they can't spell Dorsch

The end of my birthday week was especially pleasant, Jeanette, Stephanie, and Jenny came over and presented me with T-shirts announcing my campaign for congress in 2028. I loved them, thought they were great, and then noticed they were spelled wrong. It's that dang silent "C" that gets people. No matter, it was still awesome and I loved it.

Thanks to everyone who made my birthday great. Stanworths's thanks for my GOP cuff links, Dad thanks for my frame and card. Gavin, Bronte, Haydan thanks for calling. Chrissi...thanks for well...the thought (?)

You know what this deserves it's own paragraph. My oldest sister Chrissi constantly complains that I never get her anything for gifts, although that is totally untrue, not only do I get her gifts I buy her kids stuff all the time and yet who managed not get me a gift? If you guessed Chrissi...you are right. So my father who readily admits isn't a big present guy ( my mom was always in charge of that) managed not only to get my diploma custom framed and shipped out to me, he also sent me a very thoughtful (and lucrative card). Chrissi zilch. So I say "WHATEVER TO YOU!" Chrissi you can now expect a constant and indefinite barrage of where is my present messages until the situation is resolved.

Okay, back to where I was (if you happen to think I am an ungrateful brat please realize that Chrissi and I have been making the above joke for approximately 20 years) thank you everyone who made my birthday great. As cliched as it all may sound my family and friends are the greatest gift I can have.

In the future, please restrain from threatening my life coach. It it very much not appreciated.

Also, on behalf of my life coach, I would like to say that 'we' are over to you. So there.
