Finally Finished

Happy St. Patrick's Day. As a proud Irish American I always enjoy St. Patrick's Day. I wore green to work, and I am wearing a green t-shirt right now. I appreciate it when people wear green, it takes minimal effort to be just a bit festive. If you wore green today, good job by you.

You may or may not remember my post from last fall about The Book of Basketball. It caused a minor controversy regarding the personalization that I asked for. Some five months later I finally finished the book. This book is long. You might ask how long?* He may even answer, long enough to stop a bullet. He wouldn't be exaggerating.

I thoroughly enjoyed it, despite the fact that two of the three players Bill Simmons hates the most are Kobe Bryant and Karl Malone. Still, as JJ and I discussed, Bill ranked those players fairly. I recommend this book to anyone who likes basketball, or Bill Simmons, if you don't like either of those things, don't read this book.

*Some people who read Pete Chat read that and thought it was quite funny. Some people who read Pete Chat read that and thought Peter is making no sense.

Did you feel that Manute Bol was fairly ranked as well? Did George Muresan get a fair shake? Does Bill's version of history shed new light on the dynamic trio of Rasheed Wallace, C-Webb, and Rod Strickland? These are all questions that I hope you're ready to discuss in a public forum on Mar 27.

I'm glad you finally finished that Giant Sized book. I'm actually thinking about re-reading it.

I would sleep with one eye open if I lived near Ray.
