I have not forgotten you my dear Pete Chat readers. How could I? Pete Chat is one of the things I enjoy the most. I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and New Years. I know I did. I got many wonderful and thoughtful presents all of which I enjoyed tremendously. Christmas was all but perfect until the Lakers lost at the very last minute. That pretty well stunk.
I got five tickets to the game on Christmas so I played Santa and gave them to some of my classmates. Four of them are Chinese and basketball crazy. They had never been to an NBA game before and really enjoyed it.
Last night was pretty funny. I was the game vs. the Houston Rockets. Before the game I texted a couple of my friends who are working on the Romney Campaign. I told Matt, a big Lakers fan that I would take care of the Rockets, he needed to take care of Iowa. I was monitoring the caucus via Twitter the whole night. You all know I am a bit of a politics junkie so I was on pins and needles the whole time, by the time I got home they still hadn't announced the winner. I thought it was quite appropriate that Mitt won by eight and the Lakers won by nine.
My brother in law Don and his brother Paul came to the game. Paul's friend hooked them up with some amazing seats (even better) than the ones I get. If you watched the game you almost definitely saw them. I think now that Don has seen me on the court he can independently confirm that I have not made up my job.
