Happy Birthday Don!

The Birthday Boy and Gavin*
Today my Brother in Law Don is celebrating his birthday. He is a great, husband and dad, he works very hard and can do just about anything. I will mention of few of the great things about Don.
  • I have known Don since March 17, 1992. He came over to our house for the first time. I knew I liked him right off because he jumped on the trampoline and could do all sorts of tricks.
  • When Don was in college and with no formal training he entered into a karate tournament and won a few matches.
  • He nearly got in a fight with Johnny Bench during Mardi Gras after mistakenly calling him Pete Rose.
  • He can play the guitar and would amaze me when I was younger by knowing the words to almost every song on the radio.
  • With the exception of painting (Breniers don't paint) he can do almost every sort of home improvement project there is.
  • Don puts up with my sister and my nieces and nephew. That is no small task and probably deserves its own posting.
  • I thought that when I came home from my mission I would finally be able to fight Don and Marc and have a chance. I've been home for five years and things have not changed since I was twelve. They both can still kick my trash.
  • Don would come up to Utah regularly when I was in college and take me out to dinner. It was always my choice of restaurants.
  • When I graduated from college and didn't know what to do with my life, Don was the one who took the most interest and gave me advice and encouragement.

Happy Birthday Bro. Thank you for being a friend, a counselor, and a brother.

-Peter
