My third favorite Hayd(a)en

Save the Hayden... Save the Whales

One of the "perks" of my jobs is that I get to meet notable people here on the hill. Over my two and a half years here I have met all sorts of entertainers, writers, political figures and the like. I think it's fun to get my picture with them, mostly for the story. Last week my friend Molly forwarded me an invite to an event here on the hill featuring Hayden Panettiere (http://imdb.com/name/nm0659363/). Apparently she is really into saving the whales ( I thought we saved them years ago).
I realize that as a Hill intern it's not the phone answering or the letter sorting that you remember, it's the people and circumstances that you remember. When I was an intern four years ago, it was meeting Sec. Rumsfield, Michael Jackson, and Trent Lott that I am most fond of. I took my intern Steve with me. I told him, "Steve I am going to try and get you a picture with a celebrity. I can not guarantee this but I have been quite successful in the past."

We waited for Hayden and she told us that she would take a picture with us a little later. We watched Senator Kerry (needs his eyebrows waxed) run in to the meeting. We waited longer (patience is a virtue) and sure enough she came out and took a picture with us. I introduced Steve and told Hayden that he was an intern and this would make his internship extremely memorable. Everyone laughed (what can I say... I'm comedic gold) and she took a picture with him as well. Check out this link http://www.celebrity-gossip.net/celebrity_gallery/image_full/46735/ It sort of looks like I am also getting a police escort.

Just a typical day in the halls of Congress.

You two sure make an adorable couple! I hope I get the honor of running into you in the halls of Congress one of these days :)

I am sad that you did not take me with you as well. Instead, I just sat at my desk, working hard for Idaho's Congressman. But, I am glad that you got to meet her and get a police escort, very cool.

Or that you are a crazy stalker. Haha. You should go to the game tomorrow night and stalk a certain boys who was just traded to the Jazz from the 76ers. That'd be luxury.

You're practically famous. Why would a nice girl like Hayden want to take a picture with the likes you?

it's about time! It seems like forever since you've been able to show off your groupie tendencies.
